Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
